Nancy asks…Whats best, Nas or server for home media network?I was looking for a Nas within my planned budget (3 to 4 hundred dollars) to do the following:
- File sharing between 3 pcs using vista and xp.
- Good performance.
- Stream high def media content to TVs using Asus Oplay or WD Live Tv receivers.
- Stream (and if possible transcode) high def media content to PS3.
- Stream music to Logitech squeezebox duet.
- Torrent manage and web/ftp access would be a nice plus, but not 100% necessary
